Product Returns & Training Cancellation

The last update to our Product Returns & Training Cancellation policy was posted on August 12, 2020. This policy applies only to products and training sold directly by Melena Consulting Group. This policy does not apply to products or training purchased from other sellers or distributors. Melena Consulting Group is not responsible for purchases made from other sellers or distributors.

No Refunds, Returns, or Exchanges for Products

Melena consulting Group has a policy of no refunds, returns, or exchanges on products purchased from us. We will replace materials with the same product version only when the materials are defective or there are problems with workmanship, and a written request for replacement is received via e-mail at smelena@melenaconsulting.com within 30 calendar days after purchase. Products include facilitation kit(s) whether electronic or physical, assessments/profiles, workbooks, books, and other tangible products.

Cancellation of Public Online Non-Instructor-Led Training

Cancellation of public online non-instructor-led training is subject to the terms and conditions stated at the time of enrollment. Public online non-instructor-led training is defined as training administered virtually, not involving a live instructor, and delivered to the public at large (not through contract or written agreement with a business, organization, or individual for private training).

Cancellation of Public Instructor-Led Training

Subject to cancellation fees, you may cancel public instructor-led training, workshops and other sessions (training) by sending an e-mail notification to smelena@melenaconsulting.com. Public instructor-led training is defined as training offered by Melena Consulting Group either in-person or online through a live facilitator to members of the public at large (not through contract or written agreement with a business and/or organization for private training).

Public instructor-led training cancellation is subject to cancellation fees according to the schedule below:
a) Training canceled 4 weeks (28 calendar days) or more before the start date will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the cost of the training or $100.00 U.S. dollars, whichever is lower.
b) Training canceled at least 3 weeks (21 calendar days) before the start date will incur a cancellation fee of 33% of the cost of the training or $125.00 U.S. dollars, whichever is lower.
c) Training canceled at least 2 weeks (14 calendar days) before the start date will incur a cancellation fee of 40% of the cost of the training or $150.00 U.S. dollars, whichever is lower.
d) Training canceled 1 week (7 calendar days) or less before the start date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the training or $200.00 U.S. dollars, whichever is lower.

The refund for training cancellation will be equal to the total paid for the training minus any cancellation fee as described in the schedule above.

Example 1: Client paid $1,000.00 for a workshop and canceled training 4 weeks (28 calendar days) before the start of training. Refund = $900 (or $1,000.00 paid – $100.00 cancellation fee)
Example 2: Client paid $300.00 for a workshop and canceled training 4 weeks (28 calendar days) before the start of training. Refund = $225 (or $300.00 – $75.00, or 25%, cancellation fee)

If Melena Consulting Group is unable to complete the enrollment process public instructor-led training due to lack of space availability or other reasons, Melena Consulting Group will transmit notification and provide a full refund.

Melena Consulting Group reserves the right to cancel all public instructor-led training at any time and provide a full refund.

Cancellation for Private Training/Training Sponsored by Company, Organization, or Individual (Client)

Cancellation terms for training sponsored by a company, organization, or individual (Client) for private purposes shall be governed by the executed contract or memorandum of understanding/agreement between Melena Consulting Group and the organization. A written Proposal from Melena Consulting Group is considered accepted and an executed contract/agreement immediately upon receipt of payment by Melena Consulting Group from the Client.
